Bryansk Church

Monument of National Significance

Historical references:

Designed in the Byzantine Revival style by diocesan architect Heorhii Turovets in the early 20th century. The brick, cross-shaped church features five domes, a semicircular apse, and a three-tier bell tower. In 1987, after reconstruction and installation of a German Sauer pipe organ, the building was transformed into the Dnipro House of Organ and Chamber Music.

Damage:

On 24.06.2025, the following damage was recorded:

  • Fragments of glass broken in 15 windows and stained glass panels, with varying degrees of damage to the frames;
  • The stained glass in the transom above the south entrance door was destroyed;
  • Stained glass on the southern staircase was significantly damaged;
  • New, in some cases substantial, cracks appeared in wall structures and floor slabs;
  • Some decorative elements of the façade were damaged.

Restoration Progress:

Immediate emergency works were carried out by the owner. Following the impact on 24.06.2025, it is necessary to close all window openings and carry out emergency and conservation (restoration) works in the interior and on the façades of the building.
